Lyrics; Burn Babylon?

Post by Survival »

The 1975 single; Burn Babylon - Sylford Walker.
Anyone got/knows/understands the lyrics?

Much help appreciated, since I don't understand much of that song, although it's a real killer song for sure!

Ites Breda!

Lyrics start "it´s a long long long time I man a burn of de collie weed" an follow answering why babylon always a fighting against Natty Dread, against who burn Ily collie weed. Then comes eschatological message saying on dat day - judgement day when "it a guh dread ina babylon" - who will be burning will be babylon while Natty Dread will be reaching AFRIKA, the land where I&I belong. Yes-I!
