Deep Roots Docu Audition "Got To Move The Barrier"

Post by Lite-Let »

You bredren have any idea of who are the three men singing "Got to move the Barriers" in front of Jack Ruby, for audition, in DEEP ROOTS ghetto riddim documentary?

That audition is a true killa!!!
Have any idea if the song was released?

Well would love to heat a studio version!

Got to move the barriers
Some way, some how,
Got to move the barrier
And we want act as warriors..

Ites,
I agree that this would be a crucial track to have if it was ever released. The group sounds similar to the gladiators except with a harder roots sounds (which probably has to do with the audition being acustic and in Jack Ruby's yard). If anyone knows more about this, please say so.

Agree that this would have made a great tune. One that stays in your mind after hearing it. Who knows, maybe one of the European producers could track these guys down and still record it?

Its not the the "Got To Move The Barrier", but maybe someone find it interesting. I loved the Tribulation track, the singer's name is Jah Lewis. And theres a disapointing LP with a absolutely cheesy production, with that Tribulation tune over-arranged and destroyed..... IMO, it would be fantastic a Jack Ruby production, but dont know if exists.

Anyway, the LP is called "Jah Lewis - All gone astray", and there are several videos in youtube of him recording voices for this album.
