I could be way off the mark but has any of you out there heard of this JA single "Mash Finger" on Stew Mack label, performed/produced by legend Jah Stitch...
Now my question is this:
Could this release have any link to the fact that Stitch was shot in the face in mid-70's after leaving the Fingertone sound system, to then join Black Harmony sound system.
The shooting, apparently was done by follower(s) of Fingertone, pissed off at Stitch's desertion of the sound.
Maybe "Mash Finger" was a sly dig at fingertone sound??
Did Black Harmony ever play alongside or against Fingertone? And was it one of those fierce competitive clashes??
Am I totally off the mark, and am I reading way too much into these incidents??
Someone please help!!!
Thank You, Bless Up 1 and all.....

The singles always eluded me anyway, but since i read that info ive always been curious about the tune and indeed the incident.
Maybe its totally unrelated. But many sounds were closely affiliated with either JLP or PNP, and we all know the hisory of JA politics from a longer time up til now....
So i guess politics is everywhere...
