i recently won a copy of this record on the JA Mr. Funny label and now that i'm holding in my hand i don't think this is an original. the printing looks too clean and "modern", and although represses use the orig matrix number, this matrix is not even close to the one listed in RKR for the JA press.
i didn't even consider the record would be a repress, had never heard of this getting a reissued (either legit or pirate). anyone know? i spent three digits on this record, so i'm afraid i'm screwed (as i just checked and the seller did not say "original press" or allude to it in the listing, but he didn't for any of his listings and i know they were mosty orig, if not all.

I'm sorry to say but I've got a reissue 7" of this one. It's on a red Mr. Funny label.

It was repressed in about '97 or '98 on the original green Mr. Funny label, but it's obviously a repress and done in Europe, as long as you didn't pay stupid money why worry it's a great tune and the repress plays well.

sadly i did pay a chunk of change for this, hence the post. it does play very well, but must win award as most expensive revive purchase. my biggest fail as a record collector, no doubt. been at it for many years now. i am going to wear this record OUT getting my money's worth!!

How much did you pay for it, if you don't mind me asking!

120, which is why i thought i was getting it at well below market rate. saw it go for 190 just a couple months ago, and know it has gone for more than that here or there.

I wonder if the original press came with the Tubbys mix, i know the Jamatel copy came with a plain dub. And the Jazzbo came with a wild Tubbys mix.

dont want to get you even more upset... but the original sold for 32 usd (from recordlikedirt) and I'm pretty sure that same copy was sold for over 100 GBP a couple weeks later by the buyer of that record... funny how prices can change so much between sellers..
