On March 28th, 2011 Yardie was back in London. A ten minutes walk from the Tube station under a warm shining sun brought him to his long time planned destination: Ian’s House of Reggae.
In front some hundreds Lps and even more 7” and 12” a two hours talk was recorded.
The experience was enlightning and amazing. The discussions by the two covered forty years of Jamaican music, focusing on the different genres and styles, artists, producers, engineers and other issues. Once in his own house Yardie added some music here and there as counterparts to the talking. We hope that you will enjoy these reasonings as we did while recording.

Re: Yardie-Reggae.com meets House Of Reggae podcasts - The Interview
I just listened to the first part and will give the second part a rinse later today. I think some interesting topics are taken up even though it at times is a bit unfocused and more seems like a loose discussion between two friends. Which of course isn't a bad thing necessarily. Nice to hear Ian talk about his relation to the music as I've enjoyed his podcasts.
I think the interview could have been edited a bit more though. Perhaps cutting it down to two hours including the music.
I'm looking forward to hearing more interviews, Yardie!

Hi kalcidis,
thanks for your comments. Yes, actually it was something between two friends more than a proper interview. But it was the first time that I did something as that and I enjoyed it a lot.

Re: Yardie-Reggae.com meets House Of Reggae podcasts - The Interview
Not yet. With Ian it happened that in recent years we met a couple of times in London. Some months ago I got the idea to write some questions that I would have ask him the next time we wuold have met. Then last March we met again and we used those notes for our conversation. That's basecally all. It was a pleasure to record his thoughts and impressions about Reggae and his podcasts, especially because I consider his knowledge extremely deep and interesting. About other interviews, well.. I think that I missed my opportunities a long time ago. To be more precise it happened that I attended the ten days Rototom Sunsplash Reggae festival when it was in Italy for almost ten years staying there the all ten days every summer. I had some good connetions with the organizers and some other people involved in the festival. And every year I thought that I could have taken advantage of these connection to interview some of the artists that played there. As unfortunately sometimes it happens in life, it remained a dream. Of course I regret it. Especially when considering that a lot of artists that played there are gone. What I'll always remember are the tens of concerts that I had the opportunity to see during all those beautiful ten days every summer for ten years. Nowadays Rototom is held in Spain since two years, I'm not free in that period and other commitments do not allow me to attend it. I try to keep my collection growing and my dedication to my website when I have some time.
I suppose that no interviews are planned in the near future. But maybe one day something will happen.
