Gregory Isaacs would be a suggestion from me.He was voiced over by people like Dr Alimantado I think, as well as men like Papa Tullo, Purpleman and Charlie Chaplin.Gregory had a remarkably soulful way of singing, it made for excellent voiceovers with dubbing and echos.
