Hi,
Just wanted to find out if there is anyone out there with Jah Thomas' Dancehall Stylee originally released on Daddy Kool NOT Silver Camel. These two sets seem to be diffrent mixes and i die for the Daddy Kool one.It was the first someone recorded for me on tape and never got hold of it ever since. Please PM me if you got the solution to my problem.
On another note, who is the DJ that sings with Jah T in 'African Thing' tune?
One Love,
Kandi.

I've heard that they are different mixes but never actually heard the Daddy Kool issue. I do however have the one on Silver Camel if anyone with the DK-issue wants to hear and compare. I wonder how different the mix can be. It's a good album.

Yes.They are different mixes and if my memory serves me right, tracklisting is also different.I really do miss some sound effects that i dont find in Silver Camel issue.Lets hope we will get our hands on it one of these days.

Well, if the tracklisting on RA is from the Silver Camel release = http://www.roots-archives.com/release/4208 then it's the same as the DK-release which I have here.
Don't know of any different mixes though. This album was produced by Silver Camel for Daddy Kool and after they stopped handling record releases SC put it on his own label a year after the original release.
The accompanying DJ on 'African Thing' is Ranking Joe.
