there must be a lot more punk covers...
on the blood n fire forum is a thread about reggae samples in hip hop, if you are also looking samples?
besides that a lot of jungle, drum n bass or dubstep remixes come to mind. does that count?
also the site whosampled.com could be helpful. not only samples but also covers on there.

I was looking more for instrumental interpretation, not just a sample with some drum n bass overmixed drum, although I suppose there would be cases where the line that separes the first from the second would be thin...
I'm realizing that punk must be the winner in this field, which was not my initial desire although there are some tunes I enjoyed, by the way I just remebered this

Thanks!! If the original version of Police in my Back is by Eddie Grant's pop group The Equals I dont think it counts as reggae
although for sure its interesting for me to know
