Reggae songs covered in other music genre

Post by abey »

I've looked into the forum for a topic like this and didn't find anything.

I mean usually when a non reggae group plays a reggae tune it tries to play it in a reggae style, I'm looking for the same composition with diferent arrangements, like the Bim Sherman "Miracle" LP

Yes they are! Although punk is not my favourite genre, I appreciate this kind of versions, the first one sounds actually good :) Thanks!

Just found, Chevaughn - Red Rose For Gregory. It's on the Gregory Isaacs tribute!

check the band Sublime! They covered many Reggae Songs in a unique way, and unlike many punkbands that only play simple ska beats, they really got the vibe!

@nofoo thanks, but Sublime play reggae isnt it? I was looking for reggae songs covered in soul, funk or any other style. Because usually its in the other way, and I found interesting to check out artists inspired by a reggae original composition.
