The Dillenger cut is CRUCIAL!!
Anyone that hasn't heard it check out the sound clip @ Ernie B's: http://www.ebreggae.com/Home.asp?FFID=9 ... &ChkSFTxt=

Just bought the Dillinger and George Nooks 7"s, $11.00 to Canada! Definately worth it.

Check out the others though,
- $149.99 LP Dillinger - Tribal War (ORIGINAL PRESS) USED
- $99.99 12" George Nooks & Prince Weedy - Tribal War (Extended Mix) / Joe Gibbs & The Professionals - Lion Of Judah (Version) (ORIGINAL PRESS) USED
- $99.99 7" Prince Far I - No More War / Cry Tuff All Stars - War Is Over (ORIGINAL PRESS) USED
- $59.99 7" Little Roy - Tribal War / Version (ORIGINAL PRESS) USED

Waaaay outta my league! $_$ Never knew reggae could be such an expensive thing... but to each his own i guess!

EDIT: dillinger sound clip gone since i bought it and sorry bout the loooooong link
EDIT 2: d/l the sound clip: http://www.filefactory.com/file/07ac17">dillinger 7 inch.mp3
Ernie B's used record pricing is often not indicative of the market value.

don't buy things at Ernie B, these prices are insane. Tribal war on aires for example shows up on ebay quite often, usually sold between 10 and 25 dollars....
from Genesis to Revelation here I come ,here I come to dub the nation.

The Georges Nooks cut is great too. There must be hundreds of versions of this wonderful song/riddim...
Hi Anbessa,
Seems intresting! What's the name of the song?
Thanks

Hi Fab,

Noel Delahaye's cut is just called "Tribal war", and the trombone cut, by Sel Wheeler, is "Tribal affair". It's on a City Line 7" (Matrix : Senta-302).

Hi Anbessa,
thanks, apparently, it's out of stock and I saw it on ebreggae for 60 dollars, a bit expensive for me. Let's just hope Rythm and Sound will re-issue in their 'Wackie's reissue programm'. Cheers.

True Jah Titus.

Prince Far I's 'No More War' played together with its version in Cry Tuff Dub 2 thrills my soul.

Another crucial one is Big Joe's 'You must be Mad' (imo).

It's a different riddim, it uses the same riddim as Junior Delgado - away with your fussing and fighting ( don't know the name of the riddim )
And yes it's a 7" which showed up on various labels..
