Looking for old recording sessions

Post by delmo »

I´m trying to find some videos about recording in the studio, like the videos of Perry at Black Ark, recording a band. Me and my engineer are mad about it. He wants to rebuild an old studio jajaja!! In the old way. Old Machine...
We're now searching information, so if you know some video or some website where I could find information about the old equipment of the studios: mixing tables, effects, cabinets, microphones, brands, guitars, basses...

Oh, we´re from spain, not so much culture of reggae, although it's growingg!!!
Sorry 'bout my english, thanks ks ks ks ks ks ks ks ks

Perhaps you should talk to Roberto Sanchez, who's also from Spain. He has managed to get some rather great sounding old school vibes with his recordings. Also there's a thread over at B&F that's interesting (even though people mostly talk about late 80's vibes); http://bloodandfire.co.uk/db/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=30824
