Aside from all the bag activity on the board...
I know one of you chaps may be able to point me in the right direction. I've looked in several sources and can't find the line-up for Studio One's Brentford Road Disco Set. I'm particularly interested in the guitarist. You can hear him noodling on the extended mix of "Heavenless" and thus Lone Ranger's "Keep On Coming A the Dance". I assume this is the Disco Set...correct me if I'm wrong.

Re: Who Were the Brentford Disco Set?
I'm going to guess Eric Frater on guitar (credited on some Studio 1 albums).

Re: Who Were the Brentford Disco Set?
My guess is its just another name for the house band whoever was in the session. So not really a band, more like a handful of people who would be available on that day.
Rumours say Jackie Mittoo, Bagga Walker, Pablove Black, Freddie McGregor were among the few who started the "Studio One" overdub era (late 70's). Original idea by Willie "Armagideon" Williams.

In my opinion the best of Studio One was done in this era... Some classics like "Bobby Babylon", "Armagideon Time", "Addis-A-Baba", "I'm Just A Girl" just to name a few.

I'd heard Freddie McGregor was a guitarist at Studio One around this time period. I hear that noodling in several disco mixes from the late '70s and I can definitely tell it's the same person -- I wonder if it's our man Freddie?

I'd heard Freddie McGregor was a drummer (according to Judah Eskender Tafari)... I haven't heard him being a guitarist but maybe he played the rhythm guitar.
More details: Sowell also played the guitar, and Horsemouth did the percussions

My bad. I believe this is correct. I remember reading an interview where it was revealed he played drums on several Studio One sessions in the 70s.

@jumbo showerr those songs were overdubbed in the late 70s / 80s by the Brentford Disco Set and even the Don D All Stars (Addis-A-Baba)
