Who were The One Vibe Band?
I've only heard about this obscure group as backing Judy Mowatt in 1982 and also Ini Kamoze's first singles on Mogho Naba. But there seems to be almost no information about them out there. Who were the members? What more have they backed? I really enjoy their style.

Is a continuation of the Generation Gap band.Same musicians:
Howard Bedesse still the bass player and band leader.with the usual 12 Tribes musicians like the Brownie brothers on guitars (Dalton and Danny), Martin Largey Sinclair on drums, Everton Carrington on percussions, Arnold Brackenridge on trumpet, etc.... Very good band.
you'll find menbers on many credits. The One Vibe name might have been used for a short period, or for live shows.

They're on the Gregory 12" of No One But Me which sounds mid-80s. Maybe some other TAD's stuff from that time also.

Re: Who were The One Vibe Band?
I didn't know that. Had to go and check and sure enough the two Brown's are mentioned as is Bagga Walker and Pablove Black. Not that I would be able to recognize the style comparing it to say Ini Kamoze's singles. One of my favourite discos still. Been wondering a lot about that one. Always thought it had to be a Gussie-production bought by Paul Chue (wasn't he a UK-based dub cutter?).
When I googled the disco I noticed it had been released on Tad's as well (hence the mentioning of the possibility of them on other Tad's 12" I guess) and the group are mentioned by its name. My copy is on Fu-Manchu.

... and I didn't realize it was on another label.
Gregory did a few discos and LP's for TAD's though some are with the Radics.
But since One Vibe are on No One But Me, then they might have done some other sessions at TAD's.
