Anyone that has any info on this artist? He seems to be a Jamaican living in the US. From what I've understood he recorded a jazz album under the name Jamil Shabaka in the mid to late 70's with Alex Cline. The album was called *Duo Infinity*. After this he seems to have caught on the reggae vibe and in '86 he released the incredible
»I Am That I Am« 12" on his own *Ras Affinity* label. It was recorded at Channel One and mixed by himself and Bogga Minott. One of the finest discos I have in my collection. Two years later a full length LP followed on the same label (this one still escapes me).
Has he released any more records? Some very unique spiritual vibes and his testimony to Jah on the disco is well serious music.

He got his own youtube channel, his own facebook page. It should be easy to reach him personally, Had him in my mailbox once myself.
A friend of mine bought a stack of records from him personally this year if I'm not mistaken..

LP is called THE LAND OF THE RISING STUFF, includes a slighty faster version of I AM THAT I AM
it's a nice album, features some very nice songs, anyway, after owning it, i felt ok to temporarily apart from it and sell it to a japan fellow in the hope of catching it at a lower price in the future

Oh ok. Really interested in the LP. Will have to search around for it. The songs I've hear on youtube have sounded nice. Listened to some stuff at a friends and not all was good from it.
