The needle drops onto the vinyl and the record begins to spin. The sound of drums and the ghost of a voice echoes over the crowd. Everything stops for a split second, before the bass kicks in and the vibrations have their irresistible effect... Welcome to the Sound System Social Club.

Featuring the best in Bass music - past, present and future, Trinity is proud to present a night of authentic Sound System culture in the heart of South-East London. In a time of bewildering choice, we are promoting a dance of unity through Reggae, Jungle and Hip-Hop, powered by the legendary King Tubby's Hifi, whose origins date back to the great Dub Innovator himself, Osbourne Ruddock.

Alongside these Roots stalwarts are Trinity artists, Hylu & Jago, one of the best young Reggae production teams to come out of London in recent memory, bringing a live showcase featuring vocalists to move your head and your soul. Our resident selectors, Lionpulse Sound will be nicing up the dance till late, flinging the finest dubplates to rock the people all-night long.

As if that wasn't enough, DJ Crises of award-winning Mindstep Music tops off the night with his unique and award-winning brand of deep dubstep. Plus sets from up-and-coming West London beatboxer, Beatfox and the winner of our DJ competition, TBA!

KING TUBBY'S HIFI - Powering the evening's proceedings are King Tubby's HiFi, one of the UK's leading Sound Systems for over 40 years. Founded in 1970 by Cecil Rennie, this is a Sound not to be messed with, but definitely to be enjoyed! Come again Tubbys!!

CRISES (Rinse FM / Mindstep) - MindStep Music and the man behind it, Rinse FM's DJ Crises, are playing an important part in the ever-developing world of underground UK bass music. Having represented the deeper, more soulful dubstep sound for almost a year at the bi-monthly MindStep events, the launch of a new label serves to continue this positive movement into a new arena, with a focus on progression and the promotion of new talent alongside the more established pioneers of the sound.

HYLU & JAGO (Trinity / Unit 137) - Hylu & Jago are an innovative DJ/MC production team, who work with various musicians & vocalists. Hylu & Jago’s live shows are always creative & versatile, flowing through genres seamlessly, spanning Dub, Reggae, Jungle and much more... Expect special guest vocalists to pass through!

LIONPULSE SOUND (Trinity) - Playing the best in Reggae, Dub, Roots and Dancehall. Selectors Live & Direk and General H are Lionpulse Sound, ambassadors and flingers of dubplates from Trinity Music Brixton who specialise in playing hard-to-find 45s, roots and steppas dub, strictly vinyl specialists.
