I'm looking for some Roots Albums that draw heavily upon biblical(Old Testament+ New)/religious themes. Any suggestions? thanks in advance.
I know most reggae albums have some reference to these themes but I mean an album that especially sticks out in this respect.

The songtitles are up there, not sure if I Roy would stick to the biblical part lyrically (don't know this album)

There's a function on the Jah-Lyrics website that allows you to check out links to biblical references in reggae songs.

Although some of the links are very tenuous and aren't direct Bible quotes.

The Congos - Heart of the Congos, has plenty of biblical references (Sodom and Gomorah, Feast of the passover, i'm sure there's lots more)and is also what i class as one of the most well produced and most spiritual reggae albums of all time.
Most rasta roots artists reference the old testament of course.
Prince Allah, the blood+fire album has many biblical songs, like 'Lots Wife' and i'm sure there are more on that one.
Yabby U - Jesus Dread(again on B+F label) lots of Biblical references throughout.
Also thought of the Prince Fari Psalms for I album.
Loads of songs i can think of but specific albums, Hmmm.. i guess a search on roots archives might give some ideas from song titles. Bands like the Mighty Diamonds do alot of biblical themed songs.
Try this by Jah Wobble, not heard it but just recall the title and track names...

Ijahman "Haile I Hymn" the spirit is definitely prominently there, though the lyrics are sometimes a bit confused "sit thyself down at thy right hand" wtf?
