Volumes 1-2-3.
Anybody picked these up? On the Roots label which i think is connected to Acid Jazz label.
Are they really lost or just retitled?
thanks

Re: King Tubby's Classics The Lost Midnight Rock Dubs
I'd like to know too. I have one of them, it sounds like quite late dub, each track has a really annoying spoken intro by that bloke who did crap vocal intros at tubby's I forget his name I know I've read it somewhere. I put the songs in some recording software and cut the intros off as they spoilt the vibe
I notice that juno records calls one of these albums 'lost". Which makes you wonder

I thought that was Jah Thomas himself doing the intro's?

Or do you mean "Fuzzy Jones" who did all the 'soundclash-style' intro's at Tubby's?
I love his intro's, they are very funny, not crap at all to me...

I don't think it was Jah Thomas so it must have been "Fuzzy"Peace Pipe wrote:Or do you mean "Fuzzy Jones" who did all the 'soundclash-style' intro's at Tubby's?

I like dub for relaxing and his shouting rubbish spoils the chilled vibe for me, plus they sound very dated now, whilst the dub music doesn't sound dated at all

Re: King Tubby's Classics The Lost Midnight Rock Dubs
Anyone able to provide a list of the original tracks as in which Jah Thomas artists recorded them. I can identify the odd vocalist that appear in the odd dub but a list of originals would be useful. NOT a list of the original rhythms.
Thanks
