reggae rhythm from 89 88 ??

Post by echoplex »

Hello guys I am new to the forum but I had a question.
Is driving me crazy I can't find the name of this reggae rhythm that has Frankie Paul's "try again",the line from this song stuck in my head whe he said "my name is frankie paul and I am no joke" but is not the version from Reggae Platinum compilation. it also has other artist. I had tape from this Reagen show in los Angeles called the sounds of Jamaica from a public radio station. the other songs where I think was coca tea "proud of you" the song went something like "I am really proud of you if you ever need a doctor " another of the songs went like "rub a dub for the young rub a dub for the old dance hall music" the tape I with this songs I had snap so I could not put it back since I listen to this all the time.
Thank you guys
