Ripton Hylton is a pretty nasty piece of work. He's been accused of (and charged with) many rapes over the years and so this doesn't surprise me at all. I think the Mouse's sleazy nature has been discussed here before.

this case is more complex..

first he was accused by kidnapping, rape and drug possesion after a police set upin North Carolina. It was a vey clumsy set up: a Groupie (who was a police informant) went with him to a hotel and had sex, the police busted into the room, becuase the informat hasd tipped them of that ther would be a large quanitiy of drugs. when they only found a littkle for personal use, the Sherriff got the groupie/informant to file a kidnapping and rape complaint!

second, he didn't flee the country, he still had his passport and went to europe to tour. However he was prevented from attending a courthearing, baeause he couldnt get a flight on time (it was during that Icelandic vulcano eruption and all flight were cancelled)to reahc the court.

allthough this was a pretty solid excuse, the US filed and international arrest warrant.


that doesnt mean he isnt a nasty piece of work... just saying

I seriously feel it for the Mouse.
Been hearing all kind of stuff about posters being put up in certain US states labelling him as a rapist, and all kind of things!
It seems the feds wanted him for some reason but to set him up as part of a sting is a bit much, unless he really is some type of drugs kingpin.
Same thing happen to Buju but the only difference is Buju's name is not as tarnished.
Who knows if the groupie was some junkie, who was up for anything just to get a fix?
Would Eek A Mouse be that stupid to kidnap, rape and be in possession/distribute drugs full well knowing that Uncle Sam does not play when it is ready to dish out a prison sentence??
Seems like his career is going to be well and truly finished!

There is no other crime where people wonder how short the victim's skirt was, whether they were drunk when the crime happened, what their sexual history is, etc. Doesn't matter if the girl was a junkie or a groupie. Rape is rape. It's a despicable crime.

None of us knows for sure what really happened there, do we? That Babylon framed him sounds more realistic to me than him being a multiple rapist. If he is though, I'm thinking of selling my CDs of him.

But why would babylon frame him?

What do they possibly stand to gain?

He's hardly a mega celebrity
He can't be a millionaire from his reggae recordings
He is nothing that spcial to the world at large so why bother framing him?

I think it is more likley that he is a rapest or a drug dealer, why else would Babylon be intrested in him?

Not all Babylon are evil and not all reggae singers are virtuous

Of course I have no first hand info and he is innocent until proven guilty

Maybe he was dealing drugs and the police never caught him the way they wanted. So they set him up big time. Like something that bad cops would do on The Wire.

But I'm not his lawyer, so maybe he did fuck up and then he should be punished of course.

What a ridiculous claim. It seems more realistic that Mouse IS a multiple rapist, based on the numerous accusations that have been made over the years. Despite what some may think, it's unlikely that "Babylon" goes out of it's way to set up and frame reggae artists, despite what you have seen on TV shows.
