Rod Taylor

Post by 6anbatte »

Can anyone recommend any Rod Taylor?

I've got 'Rockers Vibration' with Mikey Dread at the controls - http://www.roots-archives.com/release/1 ... ight=23160 - which has 'His Imperial Majesty' on and would like more of the same sound.

I see there is a complilation - 'Ethiopian Kings' - http://www.roots-archives.com/release/103 - but Mikey Dread doesn't appear to get a mention.

Thanks Rootsman - I'll definitely get that.

Thanks robe619 - is the Jetstar CD good quality or do you have the vinyl?

I'd say his Toronto release takes the cake as far as what I've heard.

P.S. I have disco 12's of Lonely Girl (over "Cuss Cuss" rhythm) I'm selling for $25 each if anyone is interested.

I'd recommend Trust in Jah. I don't like all his new relases that much but this one produced by Roy Cousins (Viceroys) is hard, heavy roots.

I'm sure you'll like his take on the "created by the father" riddim - wicked!

Hi Ranking S

Thanks for that. 'Hard', 'heavy' and 'roots' are 3 of my favourite words.

In fact, I have literally just ordered 'Dubbing With The Royals' so that must be an omen!

I'll check that out.

Well if those are your favorite words I'd like to share this one, on Thompson Sound, backed by Roots Radics, by the man called Rod Taylor as I would say.....
