old farmer, out former? can't find the song

Post by u666sa »

Hi.

I used to listen with my buddy in Miami a reggae song, real nice. Problem is he lost CD and forgot who sings it. I really really want to listen to it, especially that I'll be getting nice audio system into car soon.

The song goes something like,

old farmer, ta ta ta ta
old farmer,
booyaka booyaka

or maybe not old farmer, maybe out former

Maybe EDI FITZROY?
"Work On Mr. Farmer?"
or "Informer" ?

Try it.

No, neither of those, although nice songs.

In that song he talked about shooting some guy, booyaka and you out former, or something like that.

why should you shoot an old farmer??
i guess the song is talking about informer.

and i don´t know of any pre 85 songs with booyaka in it.
from which period is the tune?

Maybe booyaka was misheard? 'Payaka' is a more likely phrase in an older song.

Well, I'm not certain, but I think the song is from one of the Dance Hall CDs. I definately do'nt know from what period it is. But I so want to hear it again.
