Inspired by the recent thread http://www.roots-archives.com/forum/vie ... 2&t=150230 I´ve been listening a lot (again...) to the great Burning Spear.
Finally I got around to make a list of the tracks he re-recorded after leaving Studio One. Fun to compare!
Original SO titles in parenthesis.

Live Good (same)
single 1975
Travelling (Journey)
"Man In The Hills" 1976
People Get Ready (Get Ready)
Door Peep (Door Peeper / Door Peep Shall Not Enter)
single 1977
The Youth (Pick Up The Pieces)
"Dry And Heavy" 1977
Any River (Down By The Riverside / Down By The River)
The Sun (Call On You)
It´s A Long Way Around (Creation Rebel / Creation)
I W.I.N. (This Race)
Wailing (Weeping And Wailing)
Black Disciples (Swell Headed)
Shout It Out (We Are Free / Free Again / Free)
"Marcus´ Children" / "Social Living" 1978

She´s Mine (Don´t Mess With Jill)
The Message (We Are Free / Free Again / Free) as Shout It Out on "Dry And Heavy"

For You (Girls Like You)
"Resistance" 1985
none
I know he did more after this, but it´s not that interesting to me - and out of the Roots Archives years.
Did i miss any?

Re: Burning Spear - recuts of his Studio One recordings
Thanks blackarkrock - is always nice to hear another cut of a familiar tune. With Burning Spear they're usually quite different, but both are good in their own style.
