i heard the above Bitty Mclean tune the other day, and have heard another version of it back in the 80's. can anyone help who this may of been by. i don't know why, but Freddie McGregor springs to mind.

I haven't heard the Bitty version but Freddie definitely did a song like that in the eighties. I think there were 2 versions of it around and the other one might have been by the guy who covered Michael Jackson's Human Nature, AJ Brown is the name that comes to mind but I've probably got this completely wrong. Nice tune though- I've got the Freddie one on an ancient tape of a Rodigan programme.
