Was just looking over the credits on one of my favorite records, Justin Hinds and the Dominoes' Jezebel and I noticed for the first time that many of the songs were co-written by someone named Michael Roper.
I did a quick Google seach to see if I could find out anything about him. His primary credit appears to be as composer of Natty Take Over, Dip and Fall Back, Babylon Children, What You Don't Know, and Precious Morning.
He co-wrote a number of the other tunes with Hinds: Fire, Prophecy, and Spotlight.
Not much else on him. The credits on AllMusic appear to lump in a couple of different similarly named people.
Was this an actual person or somebody's pseudonym?
Also, the fantastic "Tell Me Not of Other Lands" that appears on "Jack Ruby Presents The Black Foundation" sound like it was taken from the Jezebel session. (So far superior to the followup "Just In Time") Anyone know if this was a B side to a single? Any other releases from this period?

Re: Michael Roper
I believe Michael Roper may be the son of this guy.
