DUB STORE TOKYO has a new ENGLISH online Reggae shopping site...
I used to shop there when I was living in Japan 88 ~ 2000......
and now their online site is in English.

To check them out, I searched for a Third World album I thought was out of print, 96 Degrees In the Shade, and they have a CD. (Gotta order that!) Even more impressive was that their recommendation section at the bottom of the page pointed me to the Rockers movie soundtrack, on vinyl! I've got it, but it's not something I expected to see.

OTOH, I searched for a current fave of mine from JP, Inna di Kitchen by Dubsensemania, but nothing came back. If anything, it looks like they handle more from JA than JP, so this outlet isn't just for the J-Reggae fans. The prices seem better than what I'm hearing some folks are paying on ebay. Definitely worth a look. Thanks again!

check out the down beat section on coconutdisk too, they'v got some nice japanese ska and reggae single reissues. its quite expensive and the page is in japanese but they have great service, very nice and friendly people to deal with.

That's right James,they started out as all rare JA vinyl and re releases
then they started getting CDs etc.
I remember going there and asking if they had something on CD
and getting a weird look!!!
so they still don't carry the full range of releases but that's because you can easily get those just around the corner at TOWER RECORDS or HMV

In fact I buy more at HMV,when I am in Japan,than anywhere else
...oh and DISC UNION !!!!!
