Ijahman

Does anyone out in Reggae Land know anything about the possibility of Ijahman re-issuing his CDs?

I just got ripped off on ebay (again) when I won Tell it to the Children. The CD looked real but had the Carpenters on the disc. I am hoping an official re-issue is possible for Africa, Lilly of My Valley, Tell it to the Children, Forward Rastaman, Ijahman and Friends and Culture Country.

Jason,

Sorry to hear you got ripped off on the CD
but havent heard or seen anything on the web etc about Ijahman re-issueing the Jahmani (Tree Roots) LPs listed above. I personally have never seen Tell It To The Children on CD for sale but it was issued CDJMI 300 apparently. The only Ijahman I have managed to get on CD's were Are We A Warrior and Haile I Hymn (Chapter 1) through Amazon. If read or see anything about reissues will keep you in mind.

(I have all of the ones you listed except Culture Country on vinyl but would buy on CD if they were available).

Ites,
Just to confirm tell it to the children exists iun cd as I bought it about 3 years ago on store. Africa is available todau\y also, I picked it some 4 years ago but still see it from time to time in shops in France.
Concerning the others I already sae them in cd in friends houses but probably not new and available now. Of course Hail I Hymn and Are we a warrior are easyt to get.
Tell it to the children is a massive album, absolutly excellent. Hope you'll get it brother./

I, too, am a big fan of Ijahman. But I have only been able to find his music on the internet from record shops or sellers in France. I have been lucky in that the cds I've gotten on ebay have been legitimate, not pasted over Carpenters discs.

It seems like France's music situation is better. In the States we are moving toward mass chain retailers which only sell top 40 CDs. Independent or used stores are quickly becoming a thing of the past in my area (10 or more stores that I used to frequent have closed shop). Plus Ijahman's Africa may be more available Because it is on a French label (Melodie).

I give thanks for all the help provided and concern shown. Does anyone know a reasonably priced store in France that sells on-line?
