A friend told me that he had read about Ricky Grant and I Kong is the same person, somebody can confirm or infirm plz?

no, that's not correct. Two different artists. Ricky Grant is black / I Kong is an asiatic.

Yes I Kong's real name is Errol Kong, a Chinese Jamaican. Ricky Grant is Ricardo Grant he sang with the Gaylads, then turned roots singer for Pablo in the late 70s

Ricky Storme was another name I Kong used, it is the 1st version of that tune, the 2nd - a recut - appears on his album on Inner Circle's label
