yes i

but slavery happened and that didn't come into the minds of thise people who took i&i black people into i-tivity.

the kinda sayings "We are all one brother, children of the same Father" always mean alot to me but in a way they overshadow the truth of the real world we live in - racism, killings, rape...

we're not sister and brother on this world or in this lifeime but maybe we will be in the afterlife.

I am white and living in England enjoying the fruits of England's very long history of oppression. This country is built on the dead bodies of the peoples it oppressed.

Do I feel shame? Yes and no.

Yes for the people who did this - I feel shame - and anger.

But no I don't feel ashamed of myself because I am upstanding and do not check the colour of a man's skin, I check the colour of his heart.

Slavery hasn't been abolished.

Instead of being slaves in chains we are now all slaves, black or white, to the Babylon system.

We are slaves to our desires, slaves to our material obsessions.

This is a subtle slavery, but nonetheless it has captured most of the world and is dragging it off to hell - black, white whatever colour.

saw an interesting programme few months back, it was about some english based afro/carribean people tracing their roots back to africa. one guy was shocked to discover that most of the slaves were sold to into slavery by their own people.no matter how disgusting slavery was its time people moved on. in reality what good would it do if Tony Blair or anybody else apologised for slavery. would it really un-do all the hurt and pain of the 400 years of slavery? i dont think so. i'm irish, we had oppression for 800 years, our forefathers were enslaved, they rebelled, they were shot, beaten, starved, sent to far off lands to toil for the crown. i certainly dont blame anybody today for what happened in the past. shouldnt be forgotten, but its in the past. onward and forward people.

I agree with RT's dark view. The world bad and it looks like it is getting worse by the day.

Only the fire that will surely come can cleanse this place now.
