Re: The Slickers - Break Through
Hello Litelet,
I think I remember reading in David Katz' book, "People Funny Boy", that the first three tracks (Marcus, Johnny Too Bad, and Every Wolf) were mixed/produced by Lee Perry at the Black Ark. The rest of the tracks seem to have been recorded at Harry J's. I'm not even sure The Slickers voiced the riddims at the black ark or not, but I would be pleased to find out. Sorry for the vague response.

Ites Lion,
I agree that it is maybe not the best or heaviest roots albums, but there's still some nice tracks on that one.. "Run Come" is one example... Wicked Rockers on that one!

Ya so negative Lion...
Slickers' singer voice is one of the best Ive ever heard for roots, Im really fond of it. Their 2 releases on Dynamics are incredible: St Jago-de-la-Vega and Time has Come... pure gems. So am really lookin forward to get dis LP.

Yes people I think it's a great sound of Blark Ark period, and if you want a copy of this great gem please ask me ok? No problem for all fans of great Blark Ark rhythm like also Delroy Wilson, Meditations period.
