So residents of Third World countries can have a computer, a high speed Internet connection but not get records or CDs by mail order, right?

You should not be so quick to pass judgement on others. He could be using a computer at work, owned by a friend, or even at an internet cafe (popular in "third world" countries). My point being, you should not make assumptions.

nice one dwick, very well said.incidentally i know that in Georgia for instance, any valuables will be stolen by postal staff most times if sent from overseas, unless sent by fedex..remember!!..postal services etc do vary so the guy may even have had dub posted to him which may never see the light of day or reach him

DWick,
Let me thank you for your comment on this.I think its time people understood.I normally acess internet at work.If its at a cafe, then i have to pay dearly. The thing is i have always wanted to buy online and i normally desire to have original copies just like others on this forum want.On every online shop there is a need to enter a credit card number,a thing which my country ,Malawi, is not using at all,and then am put off.
So my plea above was after trying all means and because i like the music.
Lucky are you who always buy and not share the fun at all.

Yeah, the credit card thing really is a shame. You basically need it everywhere. As far as eBay goes though, many sellers are OK with cash or Western Union, if you ask them first. When I wasn't eligible for a credit card (back in the 90's, when I was too young to have one), I used to do this all the time. $100+ cash, wrapped in tin foil, in an envelope half way across the world - no big deal. I never got burned but I guess it does sound a little crazy now. I really can't imagine myself doing that again.
But to get back to the actual topic, personally I don't see a problem in downloading music, especially not in this case. Because as far as I know, this LP hasn't been reissued in any form (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong). Since the LP has been out of print for what, 15 years, downloading the music hurts nobody. Not Scientist (unless he's actually planning on reissuing this in the near future) nor Kingdom (I doubt the label even exists anymore). I don't think it's fair to expect the average music consumer to either wait years for a CD reissue (that may never come) or - in the age of iPods, mp3s and shit - to buy a phonograph record player (and drop $25 (or whatever it goes for) for the record). So really, just go ahead, download and enjoy the music. It's great.
