Well, your one is "light" Carlos, easy to understand, but someone like abuse of it and the result is that only a very little lot as them can understand... What the point of it?

Re: Jamaican slang is confusing...
I personally feel if jamaican patois is your natural language...then by all means flow with it as it is a "legitimate" form of expression. However, for those whose roots are not from the Carribean...what is the purpose of co-opting another culture? It doesn't sound right.
True enough, there are specific words that equate w/ Rasta wordsound power, but to infuse a reasoning with a particular dialect can be annoying if NOT being used authentically. Be yourself.

Re: Jamaican slang is confusing...
Roger Carlos, im aware with it.
Exactly Tja, and im more restrictive again that you:
Why use a "unpopular" language when you know use one that everyone understand? Carraibean or not?
Look, im a French creole and i can use my creole language, but if i go to a forum of my natal music i still speak classic French, why make more difficultys again?
If a Jamaican who know use the classic English and his slang use everytimes his slang where some people can only understand the classic English it look a bit snobish, and at end what the point if he speak to some people who looks understanding only the classic one?? Just a little ok, but now go at the Buju Banton thread and look at end, i really cant understand what the guy say about French people and im concerned, i need to go at Jamaica for learn first? Totaly non-sens, have fun why not? But sometimes it look just a style point who make confusion for nothing really important...
