Re: To the Forum
We are indeed thinking about some changes in the forum, in particular adding info on users pages.
Avatars ... i have nothing against that but i'm not sure it would fit. if anyone has an opinions about it, let me know.
If you have ideas about what you would like on your user page or stuff missing in our forum, let me know as well
all the best

There is one think we really need. Quoting. Those little buttons where you can quote other from other posts. It's gettting annoying when you can only do like this:
"If you have ideas about what you would like on your user page or stuff missing in our forum, let me know as well".

Re: To the Forum
I agree that quoting could be an easy and useful thing to impliment.
Photos such as avatars i dont see as that important and would end up pushing bandwidth and cluttering the simplicity of the forum..
Although the idea of upload space sound be nice Leggo, feasibly it would hit bandwidth hard and would require quite a lot of online hard drive space which would cost quite a lot unless there were file size and file number restrictions..

Re: To the Forum
I aggree with Leggo Rocker, the text-based forum is efficient and it's a pleasure for eyes not to be disturbed by lots of pictures blinking and crappy/flashy colors, this site is restful for eyes. But I think it would be helpful to be autorised to display a cover (from R-A only, no hotlinking) since posting an url is not really 'user-friendly' (need to open a new tab). Maybe with a quick formatting like [6741.jpg] would display http://www.roots-archives.com/artwork/albums/6741.jpg in 125*125px.
If it's not clear enough, i tried to show how it could look like with a modified snapshot : http://img409.imageshack.us/img409/8942/coverwj8.png
