I have this one on the 80's "Port O Jam" label. It is a nice intsrumental LP imo. He made that instrument himself and knows how to play it I can tell you. Its Coxsone Dodd produced so there are some nice reggae riddims on it but a few more conmtempory type riddims can be found on it aswell.

It was doing the rounds on LP repress a while so you should be able to pick it up handy enough.

Nice LP for sure

Rated 5 (out of 10) on the former Maple Studio One site.

Note from that site: "Buy it for obscurity. But this bamboo sax player's album is not worth a serious listen. For collectors only."

Ah, now theres the catch Fadel. "Cousin Joe" is his BEST EVER track and does not appear on this LP. It dropped as a 45 on the "Port O Jam" label back in the day. It is as rare as hens teeth nowadys and fetches MAD money on Ebay when it does appear.

I am afraid I cant upload the LP for you coz I am not up to speed on this rippin ting. I'm an old timer ;-). I could burn the LP to CD for you if you want but you'll need to gimme a week or 2. Lemme know.

Hi there fadel diagne ,
You can find the track " Cousin Joe pt1. " on the Soul Jazz Records,on CD or LP,album "Studio One Scorcher - Vol.2 " which imo is a very good album ,chock full of instrumentals. Also on " Studio One Scorcher Vol.1 " is another Sugar Belly track called " In Cold Blood ",same deal again, full of instrumentals. Also in the same vein is the CD " Mr. Hornsman :- Instrumental Reggae 1968 - 1975 ".On Trojan CD, CDTRL 257 , if you like your Carl " Cannonball " Bryan, Lester Sterling etc.Should all be avaliable at Amazon !
