can anyone tell me about this guy, ive never heard of him but the revolutionarys have backed him so i figure its roots but i cant find anything of his, is it worth getting?

the albums with the revolutionaries are great roots rockers music wise. the voice is hit or miss for people. he sings (really actually a deep voiced talking) in french, with the i-threes doing backups. it is not for everyone, and i wouldnt call it crucial, but if you love experimental roots projects, check it out. the live album with the Rev.'s is my favorite out of them all ----> [cover=5108,356].

I got _ Serge Gainsbourg - Bad News From The Stars _ and i think Gainsbourg made a good experimental roots , with his very curios voice , IMO its very good.

I have that album , but it is the re issued one with an extra disc of DUBS
and JA artists doing versions including BIG YOUTH, KING STITT and some up and coming artists.
It was recorded in JA in 79 at DYNAMIC studios with SLY & ROBBIE
and it is excellent.
BUT I do NOT reccommend the 2nd album he did there in 81. very poor!
