I grew up with the sounds of Agustus Pablo, Scratch and Upsetters, the Congos, the Wailers, the Abyssinians and of many more teachers and messengers.
These are the artists from the old school. Now being reggae and often Rasta elders.
Which artist from the old school would you like to hail up for the works that they have done (or the works they are performing still).
I hail up four singers/bands:
Don Carlos and Gold for making me love JAH
Black Uhuru (feat. Michael Rose, Puma Jones and Ducky Simpson) for the fire and the energy.
the Congos for the inspirational vibes
Freddie McKay for the heartical vibrations
Which artists would you name? And Why?
