Re: Louie Lepki
Lui Lepke is a deejay. His albums are definitely worth seeking out as he was one of the greater rub-a-dub deejays.

Re: Louie Lepki
lepke started out recording for joe gibbs for whom he recorded " late night movie "
and " willie red " for channel one both are killer. Lepke was a freelance dj who toasted on Gemini HIFI, Sturgav, Volcano. He was later based out in NY city . For much of his existence Lepke led an anonymous lifestyle which devolved into drug use. In december 1987 at the age of 30 he was shot and murdered outside the now defunct Manhattan dancehall reggae lounge

Lionel, where did you get the information from? Because if the year on reggaepedia is wrong regarding his death I'd like to correct it.

Back to the question:
Mostly great stuff from this artist.
Worth seeking? Yes!
There's an interview with him in a back copy of Reggae Quarterly that's worth a read. Although hearing of his demise it makes it kinda sad to read him talking about the future and all his positive plans.

Leggo: An interview? The only thing I can remember from RQ with Lepke is some sort of idol page where they write what his zodiac sign is and so forth
Lionel: Thank you! I'll correct it.

Yeah, you are probably right there Kalcidis. It's some while since I read it. I'll dig it out and check it.
