Burning Sounds/Rockers/Vibrations has a lot of release on colored wax :

a big part of the releases have both black and colored issues

Colored vinyls are more fragile (the carbon black is used to strenghten the vinyl).

I think more than any other label, Burning Rockers puts out a lot of colored vinyl releases (usually red). I'm beginning to think that all Burning Rockers LP's are in color, as that is all I've ever seen on that label. Thier 12" disco selection is a whole different story as I have seen them come in various colors...

But most other labels produce only a limited batch of (special edition) colored vinyls, compared to the large majority of standard black vinyls they typically release.
So yes, they are a bit special and they make the record more collectible, thus more valuable.

Isn't it true that a sought after album released in limited numbers is usually considered more valuable (color or not)?

I've got records on Burning Rockers that aren't colored. I prefer the ordinary black vinyl due to the aforementioned durability.

Compared to what ? something sought after is sought after, it all depends on how buyers rate a record in particular.

All facts must be taken into account : rarity, quality of the music, quality of the pressing, OG or not etc...

ANTONIN, you said "Compared to what ? something sought after is sought after, it all depends on how buyers rate a record in particular."(Antonin)

Compared to what? How about 200 copies compared to 5000 copies pressed?

It is not up to me to decide wether or not you seek these albums. Therefore, it does not bother me that these albums are not sought after by you.

This post is to alert those who are looking to buy, as I am aware of many avid reggae collectors who are very interested in these particular titles.

You made a good point, "All facts must be taken into account : rarity, quality of the music, quality of the pressing, OG or not etc..."
(Antonin)

I totally agree with you on this, and if you have heard any of these titles I am selling on ebay, then you already know that they fully meet the criteria.

I love my coloured vinyl.. as long as the quality is not bad.. in some cases, there is a huge difference in the sound of the coloured vinyl compared to the black press of the same tune.. in other cases you cant really tell a difference - that pink marble J & J 12" of Barry Brown's So Jah Jah Say would be too pretty to leave at the shop imo :D
