Live roots sets from the 70'

Post by benjamin »

Irie Ites

I'd like to have a few indications of roots live sets recorded in the 70' or rare live sets from the early 80'(apart from the most well known like bob marley or toots, live at encounter euro vision by misty in roots etc.).

I lately heard a great Misty in roots live in Hambourg from 1983 and an israel vibration recording from 1979 in "my fathers place" which I loved.
We also already talked about the paris and berkley Hugh Mundell lives that really have poor sounds.

Do you know if some great roots artists have been recorded live in that period ?

I was wandering if Joe Higgs' opening of the Wailers tour in the US was ever recorded ?

I'm also interested if you know live videos apart from soundsplash.

thanks

loads of full roots sets from the seventies ??
I don't include dancehall stuff and 80' stuff.
I know a few ones, like I said, Cimarrons live, misty in roots live (sweden and eurovision), dennis brown in montreux also, but not that much. Can you be more precise with your references bonga ? much thanx

thanks for all those precisions Bonga, I wish I could hear the linval thompson live from 75
But as you see, most of those ones are 80' concerts and the 70' ones seem quite rare.
More ideas ?
