Is the album Love and only love worth picking up. I am not familiar with this title. I have the Black Star Liner album which imo is excellent and was wondering if this title was in a similar vein.

pick up anything by fred locks, he is a crucial part of reggae music and influenced so many with positive roots vibes. love and only love and the nebachednezzar lp are wicked!

Love and Only Love has a few good songs, in my opinion. The title track, Give Jah Your Heart And Soul and Cut-Eye are the ones that come to my mind first. I agree with dreadrecords, though. Black Star Liner is THE FredLocks album to have in your collection.

If you're a big fan of Fredlocks then it's definately worth picking up. I like all his albums for different reasons. Good cultural music. The newer discs are also good. You might want to check those too.

Black Star Liner is OK if you can deal with his extremely annoying voice ! I just picked up a CD called "The Missing Link" from '78 which was his never released follow up to Black Star, and it's horrid ! If you want to buy it you can get it for like $2 on half.com, or I'll sell you mine....
