Sugar Minott Dancehall Showcase

Can anyone tell me if Dancehall Showcase (http://www.roots-archives.com/release/438) - volume 1, not 2 - had a re-issue on the Jah Guidance label? Thanks!

I can't find any indication that it's been re-issued.

Danchehall Showcase Vol. 1 has never been reissued.

When released in 1982 it came out as a 10" EP and was never really classed as an album.

I was told their was no master tape to this recording, I dont really know the vinyl recording process, but I understand a process was used where the first print vinyl becomes the master rather than using master tapes ??

Perhaps someone can explain the process I refer too.

So I guess any reissue of this great release will have to sourced from an existing vinyl copy.

Ah, nice one. Cheers for the heads up. I picked up Wicked Ago Feel It on Wackies the other day and it"s got me hankering for more Minott. Incidentally, I got a bargain copy of Seke Molenga from that same seller of the Jah Guidance version of Dancehall Showcase.

Sugar Minott's "Danchehall Showcase Vol. 1" (Uptempo 10") WAS reissued in 2006, although it's probably unavailable again!

Dancehall Showcase Vol. 1 & Uptempo Showcase were both 10" releases but are 2 different records with different tracks

Ah, you're a gentleman ^_^ I have been hankering for this record for a while so to get it at such a good price is a bonus.

It arrived today, and what can you say?! This is just amazing. Sugar always has a great voice, but it"s never sounded so spirited as it is on this 10". The dubs are spectacular too. Who is the mixing Engineer on this?
