I know there are some songs where he can be heard. I think it might have been with the deejay Karl Walker. Don't remember exactly now.

... but I've never heard him as a vocalist.

Apparently Scientist does some vocals on Meets The Space Invaders. Is this on the track Cloning Process? Because if so, he could easily have been a vocalist, that tracks brilliant!

you can hear King Tubby's voice at the beginning of the Tubby's dubplate version of Jacob Miller's "False Rasta" (totally different version of the tune, on the 'ain't no sunshine' riddim). this tune was found on a tape "rescued" from Tubby's studio a few years ago. it was released on Thompson Sound 7" (crappy pressing) and it's also on the "Don't Give Up Your Culture" compilation on Moll-Selekta (though i think for dubious legal reasons, it's mis-credited in the liner notes, along with most of the other tracks, as a Blackbeard production).

Tubby says something like "ey Jacob, throw it down Drumilie Avenue...mash it up now", before Jacob starts singing. it's pretty cool.

I've never known Tubby's to sing a note whatsoever, but you'll hear him on false starts of many-a-dubplates as well as false starts on jamaican pressed records mixed at his studio.
