hello, i've been playing upright bass for a few years now but only acoustic and i'd like to get me an amp and electric bass so i can start jammin with some friends of mine. we be playing roots, dub, rock steady, ...
i've been going to stores and checking out loads of different setups but still can't make up my mind, so i need some rock solid advice!
amp; tube or transitor, combo (+ output for extra cabinet) or head + cabinet(s), ....
bass; i'm don't have large hands & arms so i've been thinking bout a short scale bass, j-bass vs p-bass vs humbucker elements, active or passive, ...
i'd like a deep, warm, natural sound withs loads of sustain, bout 300 to 400 watts should do it right now.
thx & greets, Upright

Re: Bass players wanted
an early seventies Fender Jazz bass has a slender neck and is a GREAT bass ! Fender Precission basses I really don't like, very thick neck...I still kick myself for selling my Jazz bass so long ago...
