Well, I don't know enough to start a storm, but it has been suggested by Scientist (though I increasingly wonder about his sour grapes) that LT was one of the producers that was less than forthcoming with the cash for his artists. Maybe that's how he was 'astute'

Or maybe not, but it really makes me wonder. It's a dog eat dog world. Esp. in the ghetto, right?

That is a great interview, though. And makes we want to think the best of him. And to give his record a listen, as well. I like that he's working with his son.

I man are privileged to meet Linval Thompson he his humble person and a good live artist. I have ask him when he will release some more old recordings by himself and other artist he say when the time is there.(He just release the album The Early sessions with live concert and intervieuw on dvd.
I was lucky to have the cd/dvd 2 days before.)
It was a great conversation about the music and common friends ina Jamaica.

Leggo i search some shops but did not find the album jet!

Checking clips for this on emusic right now. Sounds quite nice indeed! Even has some dubs...One thing I don't like about the CD era, though, is the 16 to 18 track album. Lends itself to filler. This all sounds pretty solid, though, from what little I can tell from the short clips. Definitely live instruments.
