My first post here, so first up, hello to all!!
I'm trying to add my copy of Soul Rebels to another database but there's alot of confusion over it.
[It's this one](http://www.roots-archives.com/label/705)
Is this the official first release?
Is Rough Gang a legit label?
Is it a Jamaican or US release?
Is 1970 the correct release date?
Has it ever been repressd?
it might be interesting to note also that the last track on side B is "Duppy Conquerer" and not, as listed on cover, "My Sympathy"
Any help with these questions would be much appreciated.
Thanks

This press is far from being the very firts one press of the LP.
It was first compiled & released in UK by Trojan on the Upsetter sub label in 70. Perry also pressed it on his own jamaican inprint: Upsetter with three label colors, the one on this website (light blue printing) and another with a red printing and the third one with a green printing. These presses must have been done just after the UK one.
The Rough Gang label have the Coxsone's Fulton adress so I assume it's a US press released in early 80's or even later.

Thanks for your help Wareika,
The New York address had always led me to think it was a later release. However someone said I should look into it as they'd never heard of the label and thought it might be a non-legit release.
So I checked here and I saw the copy I had was given the date 1970! Then I got a little excited :/
So would I be right that Perry sold the UK rights to Trojan, and had the Jamaican rights for his own Upsetters label and then Dodd must have got the US rights?
I'm also assuming that this label is a one-off and nothing else was released on it?
