I really don't know how to start...
I'm a selecta from Romania (the first and the only one by now; but I'm doing reggae events with a girl from Firenze/Italy, an exchange student in Romania). I started about one and a half years ago to develop a reggae movement here (at least to try), because a lot of people didn't even heard about this superbe music (I'm a lucky one, it sims). My biggest problem is that we don't have a record store in this whole country and the "closest" one is in Budapest/Hungary, or in Wien/Austria so it's very hard and expensive for me to buy vynils.
So, if you have vynils that are a little bit "wrecked" or you just don't need them so much (who knows?), I'm willing to BUY them. Almost everything from the 60-70 period (of course I prefer the Studio One stuff). If you are willing to help, please give me a reply.
I don't want to be misunderstood, I'm not begging and I'm not melodramatic. I'm just looking for people who can help me with this!
Thank you!

Re: Second hand records
HI, THERE! SORRY TO HEAR THAT THERE IS NO RECORD SHOPS OUT THERE. DO YOU EVER SHOP ON EBAY? IS THERE ANY FLEE MARKETS OR SWAP MEETS IN YOUR AREA? OVER HERE IN CALIFORNIA, IT SEEMS THAT REGGAE IS ALSO VERY HARD TO FIND, BUT IVE BEEN LUCKY TO FIND REGGAE VINYL IN LOCAL SWAP MEETS AND RECORD SHOWS. I REALLY THINK YOU SHOULD TRY EBAY. CAN YOU GIVE ME MORE DETAILS ON THE KIND OF STUFF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR, MAYBE I CAN HELP? THANKS AND PEACE RIDDIM...

Re: Second hand records
I've tried the internet, but most of the sites do not make deliveries in Romania, because of the huge number of hackers located in this country. Of course I know about Ernie B's (they've got marvelous stuff), and right now I'm trying rise some fonds to buy some records from EB's...but I was refering to second hand stuff, because it's much more cheaper,so...if you have some, or know someone who have...

Re: Second hand records
Oh, because somebody asks: '60-'70 period. I'm looking for a lot of rocksteady (such as: The Clarendonians, Alton Ellis, Lord Creator, etc) , a lot of instrumental reggae (Jackie Mittoo, Lennie Hibbert, Cedric Im Brooks, Ernest Ranglin, etc) and I'm a huge fan of Dub (King Tubby, Scientist, Keith Hudson, Jack Ruby, etc). And, of course, the "classics", like Horace Andy, Burning Spear, The Heptones, Johnny Clarke, Jacob Miller, Cornell Campbell, Barry Brown, etc.
I'm also very interested in that Soul + Reggae stuff (The Chosen Few, for example) and the early DJs (U-roy, Michigan and Smiley, Prince Jazzbo, Lone Ranger, etc).

Good to see that reggae is alive and "well" in Romania as well, I wonder how it is over in Hungary, Bulgaria and so on?
