Where did u read it?

Post by loKo »

Sometimes when i surfer on the roots archives forum , i read lots of comments like "i read that,,,,". Sometimes i ask me , where do you read about reggae , which sites ( no forums only) , some portals or whatever , its only curious.
What reggae pages you visit frecuently to read about the news and reggae.

Bless and sorry for my poor english

Often websites for me - found by Googling someone's name when bored, read once, then closed and the address forgotten about... ;)

I get alot of reggae info from documentaries such as Roots Rock Reggae: Story of the Jamaican Music Scene, Dub Echoes, BBC Story of Jamaican Music, Aquarius: Reggae, Deep Roots Music (series) and some others whos titles escape me.

Some good websites to check out are
algoriddim.com for riddim info, this site obviously for general info on musicians/studios/etc for different releases.

interruptor.ch is a very interesting website about dub and has a excellent forum about dub music production.

dubroom.org is also a very nice site with reviews and discussions and music production talk among other things.

Also dub.com is a general portal of all things dub on the internet.

united-reggae.info is good for new and rereleases and contemporary reggae info, along with interviews and general jamaica/reggae articles.

I book i havnt read, but is on my "to buy" list is this:
Dub: Soundscapes and Shattered Songs in Jamaican Reggae - Michael Veal.
