I looked under articles but couldn't find it.

BTW, for me it's the other way around, omce the High Times take the Radics place I start waiting for Sleng Teng to finally come...

The High Times players are basically whoever Earl "Chinna" Smith or the HIGH Priest of reggae guitar played with at the time. Most likely man such Mickey "Boo" Richard on drums and Lloyd Parks on Bass. The late Frazal Prendergast, Chris Meredith, skully...They were a few thats for sure... like most of the reggae band on that time. All the high times productions have Chinna's touch on it. Jah bless

Thanks for all the info, I did get the Winston Hussey Lp back in Aug 2006. As far as high times are concerned the general feeling i got was a compilation of insrumentalist's came together playing different rhythms

The High times players main core were Chinna on guitar,Santa davis on drums,Chris Stanley on bass,Keith Sterling on Piano. This band played on a lot of the pre computer rhythms for Jammys between 83 and 84 just before sleng teng changed reggae forever.

High Times sometimes sounded similar to Roots Radics because most rhythms were recorded at channel one and mixed at King Tubbys by Scientist and who ever recorded that way got the same sound.Check out Jammin by Al Campbel which was played by Sly and Robbie but has that same sound.Chinna also played with Sly and Robbie And Santa played with Roots Radics before style scott and all the tracks feature the same out of tune piano which gave the music a character you will find throughout all Channel One recordings.
