track goes like this

if you ever need me, just call me on the phone line. you got my number if you ever want me im your lifeline. cuz if you ever feel sad, need someone to
hold you, when no one knows you or understands you i do. because no one needs you much girl, as i do, so take your time its just my heart you're breakin,
and i dont mind though my whole world is shakin, i'll be fine.

The song is called "Loveline", and was originally recorded by a pop group called Dr Hook & The Medecine show.

Are you sure it isn't Tiger? He cut a version for Lloyd Campbell in his pre-DJ days, and sounds quite a bit like Little John.

Great song. I've heard it a million times but can't remember where. I don't have the 7". Perhaps on a sound tape? Really need to get it.

It's on this lp: http://www.roots-archives.com/release/4723

but it's the last song on side 1 and it seems to have been edited down, because it's only like maybe 2 minutes long and then fades out rapidly.
