looking for a tune titled "taxi"

Hi, would like some help in finding a track i haven't heard for years and would love to get my hands on. It was on a mix album strictly reggae?(ithink) had about 23 volumes, the track was called taxi, and some of the lyrics were; "Taxi, take me to the other side of town, just as fast as you can, Taxi, before my baby puts me down i don't wanna loose her, please don't you hurry, shes got me really worried, shes all i'm thinking of all i'm thinking of".
If that sounds familiar to anyone, please can you let me know who the artist was, I would be so happy have been searching for this track for years!

I think the song you are looking for is Taxi by Ambelique. I am 99% confident it's the track you have been looking for for so long, as the lyrics of the song match those you mention on your post.

It must be a Sly & Robbie production, as it is available on the Taxi label.

Hi jes,i think like jozef that is a tune of LEROY BROWN...i have the 12 inch on REVUE label called TAXI...lirycs is the same you have mentioned....i think that ambelique tune is a late remake so i don't know what you are searching between these 2.
