These three cds are well worth getting. You will get 33 original 12" mixes for the price of one original on buybay today which is a bargain.

Overall sound quality is good, tracks seem to be taken from the original masters, not vinyl sources.

Highly entertaining stuff, though the selection itself is a bit erratic over all.

My personal highlight is Naggo Morris' 'Jah Guide' on vol.2, what a scorcher of a track that is!

Can't wait for the next volumes with the real tough stuff :D

Didn't hear those great releases yet. Almost sure Danny Mangaroo & Lui Lepki 'Dancehall Style' on part 3 will be my fav.

I have to agree with Bellyman.

I picked up all 3 volumes for £18.00 and the sound quality overall is pretty good.

In this day and age of rip off prices there is just no ground for complaints with these CD`s.

Only one downside in the lack of any informative liner notes.

I had several of the 12"s in these set years ago and for me its just great to be able to hear them again at a sensible price I can afford.

Hi Nick,
all scources available to me (RKR etc.) state Joe Gibbs as producer for 'Jah Guide' by Naggo Morris. Maybe you mix this one up with the Hepones' song with the same title, which was produced by Niney?

Dennis Brown & Trinity 'Let Me Love You + Uptown Girl'

Think there are more extended mr. Gibbs versions on this riddim - Sammy Dread did one?

Hi
Yep i played both versions, the heptones one from heartbeats deep in the rooots cd, and they are the same versions, sometimes the matrix number does not reflect the producer just whereit was pressed and for who.
its a bit like the joe Gibbs black uhuru rent man was a dennis borwn production and the master were given to joe gibbs perhaps as a form of payment for studio time.
